Welcome to the Winthrop Education Corporation (WEC) website!

WEC is a charitable organization for the advancement of education in the Town of Winthrop. We promote, support, sponsor and/or conduct educational, cultural, athletic, scholastic, literary, civic, patriotic, safety, health, vocational, academic, co-curricula and social programs, activities, events and groups for residents and students of all ages in or from the Town of Winthrop, Maine.

We currently fund grant requests submitted by Winthrop Public Schools faculty for school projects and educational needs. The application is available here.
